History Of Astronomy

                   

          We know nothing of the beginnings of astronomy, but we wonder how certain of the simpler facts of the science particularly those with a direct influence on human life and comfort gradually became familiar to early mankind, very much as they are familiar to modern savages, With these facts it is convenient to begin, taking them in the order m which they most readily present themselves to any ordinary observer.

           The sun is daily seen to rise in the eastern part of the sky, to travel across the sky, to reach its highest position in the south in the middle of the day, then to sink and finally to set in the western part of the sky. But its daily path across the sky is not always the same the points of the horizon at which it rises and sets, its height in the sky at midday, and there is a time for sunrise to sunset, all go through a series of changes, which are accompanied by changes in the weather, vegetation, etc., and we are thus able to recognize the existence of the seasons, and their recurrence after a certain interval of time which is known as a year. But while the sun always appears as a bright circular disc, the next most conspicuous of the heavenly bodies is the moon, it undergoes changes of form which readily strike the observer, and are at once seen to take place in a regular order and at about the same intervals of time. A little more care, however, is necessary in order to observe the connection between the form of the moon and her position m the sky with respect to the sun. Thus when the moon is first visible soon after sunset near the place where the sun has set, her form is a thin crescent, the hollow side being turned away from the sun, and she sets soon after the sun. The very next night the moon is farther from the sun, the descent is thicker and she sets later and so on, until after rather less than a week from the first appearance of the crescent, she appears as a semicircular disc, with the flat side turned away from the sun. The semicircle enlarges and after another week has grown into a complete disc, the moon is now nearly m the opposite direction to the sun and therefore rises about at sunset and sets about at sunrise. She then begins to approach the sun on the other side, rising before it and setting in the daytime, her size again diminishes, until after another week she is again semicircular, the flat side being still turned away front the sun, but being now turned towards the west instead of towards the east. The semicircle then becomes a gradually diminishing crescent, and the time of rising approaches the time of sunrise, until the moon becomes altogether invisible.

                  After two or three nights the new moon reappears, and the whole series of changes is repeated. The different forms thus assumed by the moon are now known as her phases, the time occupied by this series of changes, the month, would naturally suggest itself as a convenient measure of time, and the day, month, and year would thus form the basis of a rough system of time measurement.

Since every department of engineering was merely connected to the universe we have our responsibilities to know our universe and with the knowledge we can make our earth a good place to live. This is the main objective of this blog.

Usually astronomy is the science that is used to study the objects which we see in the night sky. But with astronomy almost every engineering aspect are interlinked to study the universe. From mechanic to the electro- optic department and from the civil to the IT department all engineering cadre helps to serve the study of astronomy.

         

          It’s a small step for our team members to really study the universe in all most all possible dimensions and we are trying to post everything that we studied. 

           As a matter of fact we the engineers have to know the value of our life and life cycle and its base, the earth and its location in the solar system and position of our solar system in the Milky Way and its place on the universe. I am talking about this kind of knowledge because as a fact we are the luckiest fellow to study the nature and its rule to live a comfort and luxury life in this precious world. To make our life more comfort and highly civilized we have to work hard and smart with this new field of technology like nonmaterial, cryogenics, plasma, High thermal resistive and conducting construction materials, power production, power storage and transmission without cables.

          To generate power with minimum hazards to the mother nature is the most complicated task in front of us all, for this purpose we requires a huge understanding of the law of physics and nanotechnology but all this task on one side we have given an resources of countless number of stars of vulnerable potential of energy generating all over its entire life cycle. And I simply wonder that how this happen that without any success to the human brain of generating electricity by nuclear fusion, is that a  possible one to have such kind of technology  in our earth to fulfill our energy requirement with only little raw material needed and a little  place  to generate electricity. So we have search to keep our entire planet with energy with zero harm to any life. For this purpose we have to gain some knowledge of the astronomy because lots of science is already given to us by our nature.
